Last Minute Summer Fun!

As summer winds down, that means the Mogote Meadow RV Park is less crowded as kids are back in school. Therefore, if you want the perfect time of year to escape somewhere peaceful and quiet to relax while the weather’s still sunny and warm (for the most part), now’s a great time to enjoy some last minute summer fun in Antonito, Colorado.

Get some friends and family together and come stay a couple days and nights at Mogote Meadow-- we have cabin rentals if you don’t have your own RV or tent. Bring your hiking boots, mountain bikes, frisbees, and/or fishing poles so you can enjoy the great outdoors. Many people who live in cities and suburbs (like Santa Fe or Colorado Springs) find that the slower pace at Mogote Meadow is a welcome change from their hectic lives.

While you’re in Antonito, the “must-see” nearby tourist attraction is the Cumbres & Toltec, America’s most authentic steam-operated railroad. Operating through October 18th this year, the train has several different cars, including “parlor,” “tourist,” and the open-air “gondola.” If you’ve ever wanted to take a train ride in the “Old West” and feel like you’re back in the late 1800s, this is the train to take. Visit for more information.

Mogote Meadow is a quiet, friendly park is situated on seven acres of lush grass and towering shade trees-- a great place to “get away from it all.” Hosts Mark and Sharon Melvin look forward to your visit. Call 719-376-5774 to plan your trip.
